Anything not covered here? Write to chloe@mysticragondin.com. It helps to mention your device and, if the question is about a chart, the birth date, time and place you entered. Never send anything you'd rather keep private; a chart question can be asked in general terms.
Restoring a purchase
Your purchase belongs to your Apple ID or Google account, not to the device. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, open the purchase screen in the app and choose Restore purchase. Make sure the device is signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you bought with. If it still doesn't appear, write to us.
If the chart looks wrong
A BaZi chart is only as good as the birth moment behind it, and small details matter more than in Western astrology:
- The birth time drives the hour pillar. Check it against a birth certificate if you can, "around eight" and 7:40 can produce different pillars.
- The place matters too. The app corrects clock time to solar time by longitude, so the city of birth, not of residence, is what counts.
- Historical clocks are handled for you. Wartime double summer time, pre-1949 Chinese zones and the like are resolved automatically; you don't need to adjust anything yourself.
If you don't know the birth time, the app can work with that: choose the unknown-time option and it will narrow the possibilities with you rather than guess an hour pillar.
Freeing up space
The companion's language model is the only large thing the app stores. To reclaim the space, open the companion's model settings in the app and remove the downloaded model. Your chart, conversations and progress are small and unaffected, and you can download the model again at any time.
Backup and restore
Because nothing is stored on a server, backups are in your hands. In the app, export your data to a file and choose where it goes: a folder, a drive, anywhere you trust. To move to a new phone, install the app there and import that file. We never receive or see your backup; keep it somewhere you'll find it.
